The Hei-Planet Hub attended the MOOD project’s final conference on 26 and 27 November 2024.

The MOOD project aims to develop innovative tools and services for the early detection, assessment, and monitoring of current and future infectious disease threats across Europe in the context of continuous global, environmental, and climatic change.

During the conference, Joacim Rocklöv, Hei-Planet Hub Director and CSIDlad group leader gave a plenary talk on climate and vector-borne diseases in Europe.

Marina Treskova, Eco-epidemiology group leader presented the Lily project poster.

Together with colleagues from Hei-Planet, Lund University, and Umeå University, Julian Heidecke recently published the paper “Uncovering temperature sensitivity of West Nile virus (WNV) transmission: Novel computational approaches to mosquito-pathogen trait responses” in PLOS Computational Biology.
