Two Day LILY Workshop in Athens

The LILY (Large-scale Interdisciplinary Alliance on Nature-based SoLutions and Health: Indicators, InequalitY and Innovation) workshop successfully took place over two days on 2nd and 3rd of September 2025 in Athens, Greece, hosted by the Benaki Phytopathological Institute.

Participants engaged in collaborative sessions aimed at advancing key aspects of the project through focused dialogue and joint planning.

The working groups explored three core areas of research and development:

  • NBS & Mosquito
  • Green-Blue Solutions
  • Coastal & Marine Cases

Over the course of two productive days, the team concentrated on developing structured frameworks for key scientific publications. A significant portion of the discussions was dedicated to planning future workshops designed to convene a diverse range of participants, including academic researchers, field practitioners, and other relevant stakeholders.

Additionally, workshop participants outlined the strategic priorities and next steps for the upcoming grant period 2025–2026.
