Prototyping an internet-of-things-based bioacoustics system to support research and surveillance of avian-associated infectious diseases

New Publication Alert!

We’re excited to share our latest work- Prototyping an internet-of-things-based bioacoustics system to support research and surveillance of avian-associated infectious diseases.

In this study, read how Hei-planet researchers along with their colleagues developed an IoT-based system to monitor avian species for infectious disease research. Our bioacoustics sensor leverages ML classification algorithms to capture the spatio-temporal presence of multiple avian species.

The newly developed sensor-based device, Bioaco-record, is designed to generate high-resolution data on presence, mobility, density, and interactions of avian species.
