Applications are now open until March 2026 for the summer school “One Health Approaches to Study Climate-Sensitive Infectious Diseases and Nature-based Solutions,” taking place from 17–28 August 2026 across two European hubs. The first week will be held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, hosted by Erasmus MC and the Pandemic and Disaster Preparedness Center (PDPC), followed by a second week in Heidelberg, Germany, hosted by Heidelberg University. This immersive two-week summer school explores how climate change and nature-based solutions are reshaping ecosystems and influencing the dynamics of infectious diseases, with a strong focus on One Health approaches at the intersection of climate change, vector-borne diseases, and NbS. Applications are open to Master’s and PhD students as well as early-career professionals from health, veterinary, ecology, environmental sciences, data science, geography, and related fields, with 30 participants to be selected. The application deadline is 1 March 2026.
