The TULIP consortium gathered in Rome for its general assembly meeting during the second week of May 2026, bringing together partners to review progress, align future activities, and strengthen collaboration across its scientific, policy, and community-engagement efforts.
Hosted at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, the multi-day meeting provided a valuable platform for interdisciplinary exchange. Participants worked to better connect research across work packages and ensure a coordinated approach to the project’s goals.
TULIP addresses the interconnected challenges of antimicrobial resistance, plastic pollution, and climate change in aquatic environments, treating them as a combined risk to both human and ecosystem health. The Rome gathering marked an important step in advancing this integrated approach and reinforcing collaboration across the consortium.
